Making the Most of a Disappointing Situation Part 1

Is there an aspect of your life that you find disappointing?
A finish line that is seemingly too far away?
A hope that’s been battered uninvitedly?

These situations are all too common, and it can feel so isolating. We can’t help but ask, “Why is this happening to me?”

These are the disappointments that threaten to completely commandeer my focus.

So in this series of posts, I’m inviting you to go to  battle with me.
To find and fight for the good.

It’s SO important to me, however, for you to know that I still want everyone to honor, value, and express real, raw, and authentic emotion.  It’s so healthy, even critical, for us to feel our anger, sadness, disappointment, confusion, grief, and any other feeling that comes up. In some cases, the disappointment may be so tragic that a dose of positivity may feel too sugary or even downright trite. We honor that too. If that’s the case, these posts may be for a different day.

Given those caveats, where are the treasures in times like these? These disappointments are too hard to not have value.

Transitioning Back to Blogging

This post is a bit transitional, but it still does include some of my ruminations regarding life lessons.

In my last post, I said that I would be back blogging regularly again soon.  However, that was (gulp) eleven weeks ago.  Alas, I have had such a hard time finding my sea legs lately (spoken legitimately as a periodic, recreational kayaker).

The only things running away from me faster than time does?  My inboxes.
